Velda's Church quilt tops
This one of my recent tops.
I explained about it under "Sew In" today.
Vel
I will try to add another here.
This one was made from charm packs donated to our church. Super Heros and some bright colored squares. Amazing how things always seemed to come together so we'll.
Here's what I posted this morning about the embroidered blocks:
"Someone donated a stack of embroidered blocks. They were all partially finished. No one would want to finish the embroidery, so the ladies asked if I would use them along with a stack of precuts that were all in the same box.
I cut a stack of fat quarters to match the size of these embroidered blocks and so far, have two tops using these blocks and the fat quarters. All the 3" pieces cut away from the fat quarters work very well to make the borders, so nothing has been wasted, except the salvage strips. Boy, the tops go together fast with big blocks."

VELDA, how did I miss these photos! You really pulled these tops together! The bright Super Heroes will brighten any room, but being partial to embroidery and cross-stitch, I really like the first one. So much work went into those blocks that it's wonderful that you figured out such a delightful setting for them.
