WhoHoo! Go Broncos!!! Rod Smith went to the school where I worked for 28 years. He was a super nice young man. The English classes were across the hall from my office. One day, one of the instructors came in and said she had a young man in her class that had the most incredibly nice penmanship. She was positive he was having a girl write his papers--you know the reputation football jocks have. She said she had a timed, in-class writing assignment. She was shocked when his paper looked just like every other one. She talked to him after class and asked how he learned to write like that. He said when he was growing up, they didn't have TV. For entertainment/to keep him out of trouble, his mom had him write and perfect his penmanship. When he was injured in the opening minutes of the first game of his junior football season, an injury dispensation was given to him and he used the time to study and earn another degree and play his senior year. When he graduated, he had two 4-year degrees in business fields plus an Associate degree! Pretty exceptional, since many jocks play out their eligibility and don't ever graduate!!! He was a walk-on at Denver, and as you know, the rest is history! My grandson has a signed picture and a signed cap of his.

GREAT QUILT!!!
