My son had a dentist appointment this week so Violet came to spend some time with Grandma! We had a great time. We have nice soft dolls for her to play with but she prefers Grandma's 40 year old stiff babies...

How beautiful I had to laugh she has a piece of paper stuck to her foot, that was so cute. And those tiny painted toenails. Precious.

Just love the look in her eyes.

My 35 YO daughter still has a doll that belonged to my Aunt Muriel (her great-aunt). It's a German doll with a china face, that she fell in love with the day she found it in my mother's attic in a brown leather suitcase.

Her other favorite doll was my sister's -- she was the size of a real baby, and wore real baby clothes, soft cloth body, molded arms, legs and head. (I was very hard on my dolls...they are in dolly heaven and glad to be out of my reach)

Love your granddaughter's name.
