Girl, Beautiful roses, my favorite flower. You are making me homesick. We lived in Sedalia, then Kansas City, MO and then Raymore, MO for 23 yrs while our kids were growing up.

In Raymore, I had 20 flowerbeds and we owned about 3/4 of an acre so had a huge garden and zillions of flowers. I had lots of rose beds, from mini roses to climbers to old fashioned ones. They were super hardy and so pretty but only bloom once in spring unlike the newer variety. But the blooms were so different from todays hybrids and such pretty colors and usually loaded with flowers.

I even miss mowing the grass. Here you would have to mow the rocks or sand and this time of yr anything you plant dies in a week from the heat unless you water several times a day or more.

Now, go smell the roses for me and have a great day. God bless, happy quilting, and hugs across the miles, Shirley Mae

Girl, I miss my roses and other flowers!

I have a pot with a Pineapple Sage & some Blue Lobelia in it. Also another pot with a flower I bought at Mother's Day...not doing well.

Thanks for posting....I will visit your thread when I'm missing flowers.

Beautiful roses! And that green grass....I want to roll around in it. Our grass crackles when you walk on it. My rain dance hasn't worked. Thanks for sharing your picture.

Isn't it funny how green grass makes people feel so good. Thankfully we got some rain last night here in southeastern Ar. It has been so hot and dry. I know my plants are doing the happy dance this morning. BTW, your rose is so beautiful.
