Meeting with MARYZ and getting a new machine

Post by sewcarolyn » Mon May 18, 2009 2:09 pm

As many of you have heard I bought an experienced VikingMQ and frame from Mary. Here are some photos of the rendezvous at a campground last Sat.

I decided I should help, after all it was 100 degrees

all loaded in the car

posing with Mary and her wonderful husband Bill

since it was so hot my sister and I headed out pretty fast and on the way back to Clovis where we were spending the night I spotted an Eagle on a nest....what a sight....photos later..they are amazing...especially the one I took as I dove back in the car as it began to dive bomb me ;)

Wonderful pics of you ladies & DH. I am happy that you have a new frame & machine Carolyn. You will enjoy it no doubt! At 100 degrees I would be considering that water in the background in the last pic. LOL Is it normally that hot this early in the year? Geez! If so, what is it like in July & August?

you all look great.. sorry I couldn't meet you there, but it was hot... thankfully you all didn't meet Sunday... it was 105...

Cathy, it is very hot here in the foot hills of the central valley... we are in the center of California and it is like a bowl... keeps the heat in.. when there are fires in our state it keeps the smoke in... it's not comfy...

I have one but after a year still haven't made room for it anywhere but the living room and that just isn't flying at all. I'd put it in the basement, but I don't thing dust from the table saw would be a good thing.

Have fun!!!!

SewCarolyn:

What campground were you at? I live just south and east of Fresno. We bought a 30' Winnebago and want to take it somewhere close for its "maiden" run. What rig do you have? Any pointers for a motorhome newbie?
