First block for next quilt

This is the first block for a Stars and Stripes quilt that I'm making for my DS1 and his wife...the ONLY pattern that she found in 14 books that she went through!!
It is all templates and has partial seams...and very poor directions!! This is my first attempt ever at partial seams and I'm afraid it isn't very good. But, hopefully, I will get better with practice!!
I'm just so THRILLED to even get it together at all...I had to share!

Joanne you have done a great job on this block. It is beautiful. Can't wait to see the whole quilt! Looks hard to me! Beautiful though.

its very beautiful,, but boy doese it ever look very very hard to do!!

Double WOW! I can't imagine even starting this one. You are certainly doing a good job. I love the colors, the quilt will be beautiful.
