Inka's latest self-taught lesson-or "there are many roads leading to Rome"

Post by calicopuzzle » Fri Feb 06, 2009 8:29 am

These potholders are the results of my experimenting with star construction--would you be able to tell which two and two stars use the same technique? It is amazing experimenting with colors and block position produces different effects! Sometimes "chance" plays a role too--I had run out of the light blue flowery fabric and had to replace it by another--ending up with a totally different star! Isn't it wonderful to play now and then!

Your signature orange ones are very nice.............but those blue ones are gorgeous!!! You're right, the same pattern, but different color placement and they really don't look the same, even though they are.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with all of us Inka!
Have Fun,

Inka, You've done it again. Those are so pretty. I really like the top orange/red one. I love fall colors and that looks like the fiery glow of a sunset against autumn leaf colors. The blues are really pretty and so diff yet so alike. Great job and super color choices. Thanks for sharing. Keep them coming. Your work is so inspirational to us all. Hugs across the ocean, Shirley Mae

ps Thanks Calico for posting for Inka. God bless you both.
