Denise,,,If you follow Els directions it is really do able. I have always loved this pattern.I was thinking cream for my background,but now pastels seem mighty tempting. Ill decide when I get all my flower fabric ready,,but definitely scrappy so its more like a real bouquet...

Beautiful. I think the use of the same green for the stem part & the leaves amongst the top of ea bouquet just ties it all together beautifully. I don't think you could go wrong on what background you chose. This is a gorgeous quilt.

I really like the scrappy bouquets too! And I'm thinking that a pastel background would make it look like a light, cheery spring bouquet!
