Ok...what I meant to say was this is the second quilt I've ever made from start to finish. It's not the second quilt for Katy. I have six grandbabies and each are getting a quilt) This "particular" one is for my granddaughter Katy...:)

Very pretty. Did you do the quilting using a walking foot or free style? Jo Ann

I used a walker. I'm a little gun shy about trying free. I just started! LOL Which do you prefer?

My grandmother makes quilts. She's 95 and has been doing it since she was about 13. So you pick up a little.

And to answer the question about the army mom thing. I don't know what dd or ds means....LOL I'm new. But it was my son. He is in the California Army National Guard and returned from Iraq one year ago. Hopefully won't be deploying again. It is agonizing to get up and act normal everyday while you're loved one is deployed. I also have a son-in-law serving in Germany (w/my daughter and two of my granddaughters) and another son-in-law in the Air Force living in Omaha w/my oldest daughter and their two sons. I'm very proud of my military guys... :)

I sure appreciate everyone's comments!! It's inspiring and I hope to learn a lot here! Yea!!!!! I love quilting!!!

Thank you! You should see my first quilt...yikes...it was busy enough not to showcase my lack of ability to match seams, etc. LOL!!!I'll post a picture of that one as well...but beware...you've been warned!
