Quilt in a Day Forums

Hi All,
Has anyone got any easy quilt patterns that they think would look good in black and white?Jake wants a quilt in his school colours which are black and white. His very into reading and computers,and plays football,cricket,kung foo etc. Any ideas would be appreciated as want to make it for him for Christmas.Still have to buY fabric at quilt show in October quiltwen (was aussiewendy) Many thanks for any ideas

A rail fence would look terrific in high-contrast colors like black and white. You could really go nuts and make the center rails of different fabrics that reflect his interests, then put on narrow rails of black and white.

Sound like this will be fun to make!

I think just about any quilt will be nice in black and white. I have made a "Turning Twenty" ,a "Yellow Brick Road" and a "Tossed Nine Patch" all in black and white. They are all easy and fast to make. Please post pictures when you get it done.

I made the yellow brick road in black and white for my husband...It was easy and looks great...

I like my tossed 9 patch--Quick and easy and looks sharp when done.

My DD loves black and white so I did a turning twenty out of black and white fat quarters it turned out great I will see if I can get a picture for you

A checkers (game) quilt would be pretty.

I did a Pinwheel once in Back/White and boy it made me dizzy. LOL The recipient loved it though. Let us know what pattern you decide on.
