I had started this quilt years ago and actually finished it last month but had not posted a picture. On Friday, 4th of July, I got Victoria(DD#3) to go outside and pose with my quilt. The strips of binding on the back cover the exposed seams of the individual blocks.

Really nice.... I'm planning my attack to do the same thing... I love the colors and pattern of this quilt.

Wicked cool!

I'm adding 'quilt as you go' to my Fall to-do list.

I love the design and the colors. I've always wanted to try this but as yet have not. The back looks great also.

Thank you for the compliments. DD was making faces because she wanted the quilt and I told her that this one was for me.LOL Every quilt I make she wants to claim as her own, she already has 3 quilts in her room.

The design was my own and I was not only quilting as I went along but building the design as I went along. It is easier to quilt as you go because you are working with smaller pieces individually and don't have to play tug of war with a large quilt sandwich. I found it especially easier since I used my Pfaff with a 7 1/2 inch throat space to make this quilt. I think it would still be easier than quilting on my domestic machine even now that I have an Espire with a 9 1/2 inch throat space. I did the binding strips on the back by hand and that was not too bad either, it was great tv watching work.
