I'm so pleased with the way it's turned out. Here is the original piece the top was made from:

Is that similar to the stack-n-whack method? It is absolutely beautiful! I'd like to hear more about how you did it!! Is there a pattern?

Hi Erin,

Very nice. I just tonight bought a piece of fabric that was on sale half price to make mine. I had experimented awhile back with some "fish under the sea" fabric and the blocks turned out very cool. I've been looking for the right piece to tackle a whole quilt. The only thing I am wondering about is if I have enough background. there might be too much going on. We'll see.

Yours turned out beautifully!

Wow! Thank you for posting this. I have the book and bought some inexpensive material to try this, but have hesitated. I'll put it at the top of my list, now!

Very NICE! I have that book and was so confused. What fabric did you use for your background? Could you post a bigger picture so we can see the background? I love the kalidascope effect/blocks. The way you used the color from dark to lights is perfect.

Good morning all.

I guess I'm a little confused too, and I guess out of touch. Is One Block Wonder a type of block. It's beautiful, but I'm not sure how it was done. Could someone give this old lady a clue for her clue book please. LOL

The One Block Wonder is made from one piece of material. It is done just like a stack and whack, except the whole piece is used w/no fussy cutting. I will post a better picture today.
