the most unusual thing I have ever quilted

Post by sewcarolyn » Thu Jun 26, 2008 7:10 am

My older daughter asked for aprons for Christmas. I went overboard and she got 13...along with a cookbook or stack of recipe cards for each theme. Well this girl hates...repeat that hates...to hang things up so I made an "apron hanger" using fabrics from all of the aprons. I took 2 wooden hangers and my husband notched one of them for the utensils. We screwed the hangers together, removed a hook and made her this. She can hardly wait to move into her apartment in Boston in August and hang this on the wall. I think I need to make her a 2nd one the aprons are heavy.

You are too clever! What a great idea you had. It's so nice to see aprons come back. I remember my stepmom never was in the kitchen without one and I have the ones she used.

Carolyn you are just too artistic. Luv luv luv the "Apron Hanger." I don't own any aprons and really would use them. I think they are totally cool.
