Here are the blocks I finally finished up from my first shop hop last year. I can really tell the ones I did at first when I was still a newbie. The most current ones look much better.

I like the brown/blck/cream combination. I saw one of El's Victory quilts done in these colors and fell absolutely in love with it! I'll probably start collecting fabrics for that one soon.

I can't tell which ones were your first ones. They all look nice. I like the colors also. Really like the first block pattern.
