This is what I came up with for my grandmas African American neighbor. Thanks for all the suggestions when I asked. :O)

Great job! I like the pattern, do you know the name of it? It looks like an easy & fast one to put together. It might work well for scraps too. That's very nice of you to make a quilt for your grandma's neighbor. I'm sure she will love it!
