Quilting underway...

I spent about 3 hours this morning writing on and off my whiteboard trying to figure out how to quilt this. This is where I ended up. In each 4 patch in the middle goes a flower and a few swirls. Then the next round (square

) gets a meandering ribbon and then I plan on stippling in the final outside square. Since this went together so quickly I'm investing in a little more time doing serious quilting than I normally do :)It's a little hard to see because of the variegated thread so you might have to use your imagination. LOL It should keep me busy until next weekend.

WOW! Michelle you just amaze me with your quilting! And piecing! This is just gorgeous. You could not have chosen a more perfect design for this quilt. And the thread choice is just as perfect. Girlfriend you are a natural at this. BEAUTIFUL

Thanks everyone. Yes, I'm using my HQ to do this. And I am using Superior King Tut thread. The color is called Shifting Sands and all the different colors in it are pretty neutral. For once I think I'll be able to use this thread on many other quilts.
