"Less than traditional" placemat

On the "quilting & techniques" I asked if anyone had made anything using the "Less than Traditional" ruler and method. Today, I took a class on this, and have attached a placemat I had made. It was so much fun -- and a very easy way to make a mock "Cathedral Window" look. Its starts with a 8 inch square -- so it is all finished as you go.

I am hoping to make a full size quilt - using embroidery patterns in the centers.

Thanks, Joan

Love it, love it, love it!!!!! Blue is my favorite color and I have been thinking about trying this pattern myself. It would really look neat with embroidery pieces in the centers or even alternated with something like the floral print. Super nice job.

Thanks for sharing your pic. God bless and keep on quilting.
