Checker game set

Post by justdawne » Sat Feb 09, 2008 9:58 am

Here you have my first ever bound quilt. I'm pleased with the result. it's a checker game for a lovely 12 year old girl.

And a picture with the checkers. Had to use cubes, couldn't find the wooden disks.

Really cute & a smart idea too. I've never heard of a Nine Men's Morris game-I'll have to look it up on the internet.

Very Cute! I have a friend that makes tic-tac-toe games out of quilted nine patch block. She makes her little nine patch quilts and then makes a pocket in the back to hold the game pieces.

sewsew,
Your friend's idea of a pocket is a good one. I was thinking of trying a drawstring bag to hold this game and pieces in. I've printed a tutorial and will likely give it a go tomorrow.

I have a flower fabric in the same colours as the backing but with a smaller print. I'm going to use that.
