Not a good quilting day :(

Between dentist appointments, taking the dog to the vet because of a spot on her leg that turned out to be nothing but tree sap ...lol ... and taking Koko to the groomer to get his hair trimmed, I got practically nothing done. All I managed to do was layer and safety-pin my Spring table topper. It will probably be next week before I can get back to it since we're going to be busy all weekend.
Oh well, I'll make up for it next week! Here's a picture I took of Koko when I brought him home from the groomer this afternoon. Isn't he handsome? hahaha

How do you get him to stay still for grooming. Never thought of taking my cat to a groomer.

Wow how cute is he? How in the world do you get him to stay still to be groomed. My cat barely sits still to be petted.

Judy, that's more quilting than I got done yesterday--! I spent the day doing laundry, making beds, and running errands. I did do a little cross stitching, but I really wanted to quilt!
Hopefully today I will be able to get my "fix" and tie a baby quilt.

Koko is such a pretty kitty! Does he like being shaved or can you tell? I once had a pomeranian that I would take in to the groomer's in the summer and get a similar cut for him. He loved it. He would be so hyper when he got home. I think he felt 10 lbs lighter! LOL I'm glad your dog only had a case of tree sap...I can relate to that. I have to trim that stuff off my dogs or it never goes away.

sadiedaisy ... he LOVES being trimmed and prances around like he's king of the hill. His hair can get 5" long so he's been going to the groomer since he was young and doesn't mind at all. I have to admit though, people coming into the shop do a double-take when they see a cat standing on the clipping table. He's a big Maine Coon weighing 26 pounds but actually thinks he's a 200 pound Rottweiler. He's protective of us, the house, our other cat and even the dog. Even though Patch is twice his size and weighs 45 pounds, Koko will put himself in between her and strangers that come into the house ... and if they insist on saying "Nice doggie - here doggie doggie" or start to approach her, Koko will crouch down and growl at them. In other words, "Don't mess with my dog!"
PS: The dreaded killer tree sap disease cost me $65 to be diagnosed and cured. I felt so stupid ... plus I could have gotten a lot of fabric for that.

what a beautiful kitty!!! makes me miss mine. i had a beautiful maine coone named toulouse looking almost exactly like koko...not quite as heavy though. sadly i lost him 2 years ago to an inoperable mass in his chest. seems they are prone to lymphomas. his sister succumbed to the same disease shortly after he did and they were only 9years old. he loved grooming w the comb and brush but never would have sat still for a trimming!
