The Quiltmaker article is where I got the inspiration for this project. I started on it around the end of July. I am going to the Fair today to see how I did. Obviously, not best of fair - surely they would have called me????

SUPER!!! Quiltcreator which building are the quilts in this year? I will be going to the Kansas STate FAir this Weds. & Thurs as my daughter is singing concerts on the A T & T stage both days and will be singing the National Anthem before the Sawyer Brown Concert. Also have you seen any sewing or quilting booths this year. They haven't had any for about the past 2 years!!! Darn

QC - I'm impatiently waiting to hear from you about how you did at the fair! Not that it really matters to me because I think it deserves a blue ribbon and/or best of show.

Well I am certainly bummed about this. I just knew it would win a Blue. It is certainly worthy of it. You did an excellant job on it and it is just jaw dropping gorgeous in my opinion.

I certainly had high hopes for this quilt - I can't imagine what could have beaten it. Also know the frustration of items not being displayed well at a fair. That upsets me much more than not doing as well as I hoped.

Aw shucks. I think this quilt is drop-dead gorgeous. I would certainly let them know I didn't appreciate the way they folded it as well as not displaying the picture. Irksome! QC, I guess you are just going to have to hand quilt your next one - LOL
