Oh Mary! That is a work of art! It's just beautiful! Good on you for finishing it...and it even survived a washing!! Hooray! Hope your little god-daughter appreciates it and cherishes it for many years to come!

WOW what a beautiful beautiful quilt!! Thanks for sharing. I love your story and pictures. That made it so nice for me to read since I hadn't seen it before.
Yes the gals here a so very helpful and I too can say if it wasn't for them I would not have made the one I did. It isn't finished yet just the top. But it will be soon.
Again....BEAUTIFUL!!! quilt.

Oh, Mary! You are so talented. This is a beautiful quilt and definitely one of a kind! Your god daughter will love it! Maybe the black birds are Ravens? or just black birds, or crows as you say.

Keep Sharing!

Again, thank you soooo much girls! You are so kind!

LOL, MsSewNSew, about the black bird... I checked the English translation, and it says "rook". But you never know with these online dictionaries, so I might be all wrong about this anyway. An ornitologist would cry if he read this, LOL!

Anyway, my god daughter thinks they are rooks, LOL. She hasn't yet turned three years old, but I'm bound to say that she's probably right :-)
