Karla... you'll be happy to know I'm breathing on my own now. lol But seriously ... your quilt stands as an inspiration to many of us who have never taken on such an awesome project. I can't imagine how many hours it must have taken you just to do the piecing ... then there were all the steps leading up to the quilting ... and then the quilting itself.
After this accomplishment, you can never call yourself a novice again, cuz' if you're a novice, I'm an itsy bitsy infant.
Hugs,
Judy

Hi Judy,
You're just way too funny, girl! So glad to hear that you are now breathing on your own again, lol. Gee, an inspiration you say? Wow!
Maybe it's a good thing I didn't keep track of how many hours it took, might've scared myself away from the next big project! Guess that's one reason I like BOM's, I can do them in smaller bits of time. The down side? Seems like it takes forever to get a quilt done. Guess we can't have it all, huh?
Okay Judy, you win, I won't call myself a novice anymore, because you're not an itsy bitsy infant, lol. Feel better? Keep practicing and working at it, that's how we all get better.
Happy quilting,
Karla

Re: I finally finished my Sampler quilt!!
Hi Sewclassy,
What's next you ask? Well, I still have a 44" sq table topper to finish for my youngest son and DIL that was supposed to be for Christmas. I'm currently working on DH anniversary wall hanging I meant to have done last March, 07 that is! Then, there are the two lap quilts for DH that I started over a year ago.. As well, I've got a couple of BOM's on the burner, too. Well, you asked, lol.
I obviously bit off more than I could chew last year, and it didn't help that I had two surgeries, one in March the other in May. With my daily health issues of MS and other auto immune stuff, it's been a rough year. But, I'm back up on the horse and doing what I can when I can. I appreciate your compliments, thanks so much.

Hi sewcarolyn,
Uh oh, please don't stare too hard, might hurt your eyes, lol. I'm trying to be pleased, and I guess I am, but at times I'm my worst critic. Am working on that, tho. The process is a lot more enjoyable when I relax.

Re: I finally finished my Sampler quilt!!
Hi Laura,
I kinda like samplers for that reason, too. Don't know if I could ever make a one or two block quilt, ha ha. I enjoyed the variety in the blocks and learned much from the construction of them, too.
My Sister is beyond thrilled. She's been showing it off to everyone she sees, and has even taken it down to the fire hall to show off to her comrades. I'm glad she's so happy with it, and I think it finally gave her a better perspective on this craft I call quilting and why I enjoy it so very much!
Happy quilting to you,
Karla
