GP - I did free motion quilting in the borders of my son's fence rail quilt. Stitch in the Ditch on the rail fence. Large meander on the borders. It did not shift at all! I used the 505 spray on the backing, even on the seams to keep them flat. Put down the batting, smoothed it out, sprayed again and smoothed down the pieced top. The minkee did not bunch or shift and I did it on a regular machine so you know it got scrunched up big time. You probably got some left over minkee, why don't you try the 505 on a practice sandwich and see how it goes. I think you will like it.

I knew your mother would love that quilt!

Georgiapeach I know what you mean about it being a great pattern. I love the colors and fabric you picked out. Blues are my favorite.

OMG GP - that quilt is beautiful. I can see your PERFECT mitered corners, too. The fabric reminds me of my BFF who collects Flow Blue china. The two colors are striking - you really have a knack for color/fabric choices. All of your quilts look so dang precise and crisp. I wish I had your talent. I know your mom will cherish it forever.

Catwoman - you lucky girl!!
