WeSignificant....if you are referring to the folded up quilt on the table next to the sewing table; it is a Trip Around the World baby quilt. I used Eleanor's book. So I'm not sure if it is what you are looking for. Here is a picture...

Jasinta....Wish I could say I made the valance. I bought it at Sears I believe. But it is pieced. I was so happy when I found it.

Jasinta - I watch HGTV a lot. I saw someone use place mats folded over a curtain rod to serve as a valance. If you quilted up some placemats in your colors you could do the same thing.

Grammy - didnt realize that was a trip around the world. There is a quilt at the LQS that has that effect but they said they no longer have the pattern and couldnt remember the name.

WeSignificant...could the pattern you are looking for be a Bargello of some kind. There are all kinds of different patterns for that?
