I love Bertha, where did you get the pattern, or you really that artistically blessed?

Really cute! How nice to use embroidery with quilting isn't it. Did you quilt the background first or last?

Thank you ladies.

calicopuzzle, I hand quilted it last then put on the binding.

Marilynsgrammy, I got the drawing from a friend. It looks like it was taken from a childs book and enlarged. There were other things in the drawing I left out. I kept it simple.
Drawings enlarged from a color book work well.

Ohhh my goodness!!!!! WOW! You are very talented! I don't know how I missed this but I am way impressed. You really did a fantastic job and are very artistic! I cannot wait until my neighbor gets off work tomorrow. I want her to see this. How long did it take you to do this entire piece? This is beautiful. Congratulations on a job well done!

Hugs

Cathy, Im glad you like it. I dont know how long it took. It wasnt hard. I think the quilting took longer than the embroidery.

This is soooooooooooooooooo adorable.!!!!!!!!My granmother's name was Bertha and she was a quilter, but at the time she was alive, I was not into quilting. I wish she would have taught me, as I would have been willing to learn. She was my father's mother. She was A sweet dear lady. And grandmother would be impressed by your work. :)
