Thank you Ladies for the very kind comments.

The tote was a lot of fun to make up. The fusible fleece that SFO/Michelle told us about is really nice. I can see using it for table runners, it makes a very nice and stable quilt sandwich for free motion. I can see why Michelle bought a whole bolt. I can't wait to make it again with some charms like Michelle's. It is a nice size, not too small but just large enough to use when I go shopping for fabric instead of using their plastic bags.

Please be sure to post a picture when you make one for your selves........

Thanks again,
Linda/Oasis

That is so cool. I want one so bad, but am just not into sewing. But I have a good friend who is....so will have to see about a little trade off. LOL

Love the colors, and you really did a beautiful job of putting it together.

Okay, I bought some fusible fleece the other day to make one of these. They didn't have Pellon brand, but it's supposed to be the same thing.

However, here is my question--this is NOT polar fleece. Polar fleece is the stretchy fleece that we use to make blankets, sweatshirts, etc. Right? I really want to do one of these and want the right stuff. This type of fleece was around long before polar fleece. (Oooops, there I go showing my age.)

Xteacher, I'm so sorry, I did put "Polar" fleece, it should have been "FUSIBLE" fleece and it is by Pellon.

SFO shows an actual picture of the end label at the following site. Scroll down to about the middle of the discussion.

Thanks for getting back to me on that. I wanted to be sure I was understanding before I cut the bag out. I took that picture with me to our local WalMart where I THOUGHT I had seen the Pellon. They were getting rid of the fabrics there and said that this is the same thing, just another brand. I thought I'd try it. I wish I had had it last week. I just made a crayon bag for my DGS. It called for regular fleece which I had. I'm wondering if it would have looked better with fusible. Though, I don't know why it would. You might not believe it, but your colors are what I am going to use to make mine. I found a charm back of TTS that I had forgotten about. I don't want to use the whole pack because it has both color ways in it. I made the blue/yellow Quick Trip in Eleanor's class last year and I want to make pillow cases, etc., so I ordered extra yardage when it was on sale last year. I figured I'd have enough for the lining and straps AND to cut more charms to do a bag.

I'm sure what you purchased will be ok. The fusible part is what makes the bag so smooth and of course easier to work with. I plan on using it quite a bit because it made the free motion quilting a breeze. Even though I really don't know what I'm doing with free motion yet. LOL

Be sure to post a picture, I'll be curious to see how it looks in TTS charms.

Love your tote. I just got my pattern out of the mailbox this morning. I can't wait to try it, but my sewing machine is not set up yet after the move and my fabric is all over the place. I must get organized. Great color choices.
