The book is: Thimbleberries "Big Book of Quilt Blocks" by Lynette Jensen. It is the Month by Month Sampler and it is of course, the February Block. If anyone wants more info, pls pm me and I'll provide more info. It is an easy pattern to make and has so many possibilites. The comfort block I made for Eleanor Burns was this pattern, but instead of the 9-patch, I made a cross with the hearts. The 9-patch block could also be something else as long as it is a 6 1/2 inch square. carol/kittyquilt
