What a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do.. They will be cherished by all. This is what Christmas is all about.. all the love and caring..Thanks for sharing with us. You did a very nice job. You brought tears to my eyes.. Some where I have a quilt my grandmother made and if I can find it I will try and restore it.. It has been packed away a long time ago. I found an old trunk up in the attic it just might be there.. She had made it back in the 30's, I just hope I still have it, what with all the moving we had done. Thanks again..

I am going to give them to them tonight at our family Christmas party, I will let you know what they say.

I gave them to my sibs tonight they loved them. My younger brother and sister (younger of 2 younger brothers) couldn't remember working on them but loved having them anyway.
My poor Grandma is starting to lose her memory she didn't remember giving them to me or grandpa painting them. She is 87 but up until grandpa passed 3 years ago she was always on top of everything, I worry about her.

What beautiful keepsakes! These really will be a "legacy" that will be passed down for generations to come...complete with a story about who painted the blocks and who sewed the blocks into wall hangings! You made a little bit of history!

these are the "gold bricks" lots of people look for an inheritance taht will make them rich money wise.... I think that treasures like these are the gold bricks they can't be bought, they just are special
