Your blocks are beautiful as well as your colors. Ahh to be able to purchase an embroidery machine. I almost did when I got my Viking 545 but the price was $6,000!!!!

Gorgeous, Jameswife. Your work ALMOST makes me want an embroidery machine. I can't wait to see this quilt finished.

Re: Roses for Mama quilt blocks
I was actually very, very lucky. My embroidery machine was a present from my mom for my b-day last year. She worked at a sewing machine store at the time, so she got discounts on what she bought. She got a better machine that does bigger designs so she gave me this one and a little bit of thread. Christmas this year was PED Basic(Brother's program for loading designs on cards for the machine to read) and more thread!!! This was from her, my grandma, and my great aunt Dixie. I still have to get something for my aunt, her b-day was a couple of weeks ago.

I love your blocks. I have two embroidery machines. A Brother 8500 and a Babylock Ellageo. Sometimes I have them both going at once. If you want to make bigger designs you can split them and sew them out in two parts. Do you pick up free designs on the internet? That is a lot of fun. Here is a site you might like. The page below has a couple of designs that will fit on a 4x4 and they are in the PES format. I love this digitizer

Actually, I didn't know you could get designs for free...I'm going to save the link to look at tomorrow or the next day(depending on whether I'm over this cold or not. Thanks for the site! And all the compliments from everyone, my ego needs inflating every now and then:)
