GP, oh no, I could NEVER put our Queen Peach to shame! lol

You know it's funny...I will 'fess up here...I don't like the '30's reproductions. They are cute, and I love seeing quilts made from them as they really are charming...but for some reason they just don't appeal to me all that much. Go figure!

I loved the look of the Tossed 9-patch and wanted the pattern, but really had no plans for making one right away. Knew I didn't want to make one in 30's repros! I wanted to do something for a mom in my community who recently broke her ankle; I saw the bundle of autumn-toned fat quarters...and that was it! Away I went! I had the light tan with me, for another project (it's the background of the Country Lanes), found a dark green for border and binding and a lovely brushed cotton for backing.

Happy to report it is now tied, trimmed, and ready to have the binding stitched down on the back! Then Mandy will be zapped by the Quilting Fairy...hee,hee! The bunny quilt got a border of the blue floral as well; need to find something nice for the backing.

Jennie, OMG, you are so funny! No, I don't have magical powers that suspend quilts in midair...wouldn't that be nice, though?! The picture is sitting sideways; if you look at the folds of the curtain in the background, you'll see what I mean! I forgot to rotate it before I posted the picture.

CindyG, I quilt to help relieve stress. My mom moved in with us almost a year ago; we are living in less than 1200 square feet and have not had any luck finding a more comfortable home as yet. My sewing area is my only remotely private place...better to go there and sew for an hour than to go stark raving mad.

I have been very productive this year...<wink>
