Re: For Sara--With Quiltsbeme's Help
Haven't started cutting Sara's quilt yet. But I'm on a roll with GodDaughter's quilt. Have 5 blocks made so far and have most of the rest of the fabric pieces cut and ready to sew. I'm trying to allow myself a little time each day to get that one done first. It's the math that's killing me right now. I have this awful feeling I won't have enough fabric! Is there a Hancocks on the North Side of town? Only one I know is in Bloomingto near Mom's!
I'm kind of scared to start cutting for Sara's... I'm afraid I'm going to screw it up!!! But I always feel like that when I start something!
IF I don't have to go down to Bloomington on Thurs. I bet I'll get a lot of squares done!

Maryq - go ahead and cut. It's only fabric. It'll be OK. If you screw up you will just have to go fabric shopping again. How bad can that be?

Another gal that's afraid to cut into a new pc of fabric. Thought I was the only one. LOL Go ahead Maryq. You will do just fine. As Cindyg said, if ya mess it up, that gives you all the permission you need to go shopping for more.

Re: For Sara--With Quiltsbeme's Help
The fabric for Sara's quilt is sitting neatly on a chair on my porch... I walk by and think okay I'm ready to do this now! But I am DETERMINED to finish Goddaughter's top 1st.... so I don't even dare start cutting Sara's. I also have all the fabric needed for Kevin's Side of the quilt and when I look at that hanging in my closet I want to start cutting that too! Think I am going to use "Morning Star" from Quilt Through the Seasons for his side! Like I"ve said, it will probably take me until their 1st (or 5th) Anniversary to get it done! will PHoto fabric for Kevin's side this weekend and post that too
got 5 more block done on GodD's quilt tonite. If I get a few done every night.. Might only take me about 2 weeks to get the blocks sewn together. Making 35 blocks-- 5 across 7 down to make the top 60"x 84". then 12" drop all around. Theoretically it should be a queen size, but a teeny bit longer. I'm not really fussy about the size tho..
Normally I have trouble getting points to match with Quilterscache patterns, but this one is going together really well.
