9patchfav, I like to do the Saturday Sampler's where they give you just enough to do the block and not enough to recut a block. After buying extra sampler blocks, I just decided to start practicing with inexpensive fabric I found at Wal-Mart. Luckily the picture doesn't show the mismatch seams! They're there!

Very nice quilts! I think you did a super job. Good for you, telling DS how much the materials were. I feel that some people have no idea what we spend on quality materials.

I really had fun with the Round Robin and getting to work with different designs. It really takes you out of your safe/comfort zone, do something else. It was a good learning process. If you ever get a chance to enter a Round Robin, go for it! :^)

gardenquilter, that owl was a supposedly small cross stitch. I had my husband enlarge it on the computer for me. I was going cross eyed trying to keep track of the little x's!

Tiggersmom, my son actually hugged and kissed me! He hardly ever does that anymore! Not since he became a teenager. :^)
