Very pretty quilts...you do such nice work. Handsome young man ...know you are proud of him. I have twin grandsons...they are 12 and play baseball also. They do not live in Texas so don't see them as often as I would like to.

SueSwan - I saw the leaf pattern in a magazine. Already knew how to do a rag quilt so I just combined the two so I could quilt it as I went. With the leaves - for instance you make a dark green leaf and applique it onto a light green square, then you make a light green leaf and applique it onto a dark square. Then you cut them in half and put a light green leaf next to a dark green leaf. I gave that lap quilt to my 3rd cousin who had just lost her husband. I hope she's washed it and used it enough so that it's really shaggy by now.

Gardenquilter - I do not remember the size stitch I used but they were very close together. I used a special stabilizer - a coffee filter.

TexasQuilter - I'll post a picture of Schatzi in here soon. I need to take some pictures and get them on the puter. My DH is in your town overnight tonight picking up some steel or something.

The quilts are wonderful. The leaf quilt really is sharp. Do you remember the pattern. Your young man is not cute, he is HANSOME!!!! Watch out the girls will be hanging around all the time.

This is my scraggly Yorkie, Schatzi. I'll be glad when her hair gets long and she looks like a Yorkie. She's a big help in my studio.

Oh cindyg, Schatzi is adorable! Is she a cuddle-bug by any chance? How much does she weigh? Looked at your quilts again, too, and they're still as pretty as they were the first time I saw them!

Is that also your dog in the pic of your leaf quilt? I have the same floor as in that pic also. It really helps me when I layer my quilt sandwiches to get them even.
