Great job! This is an adorable baby quilt. Quilts started out being made from scraps. I think scrappy quilts are the best!

I got the pattern from a book, "Quilts from the Heart", by Karin Renaud, a scrap quilt book. It was really simple. The centers and the cornerstones are fussy cut. The smaller squares are random cut. The quilting was stitch in the ditch, tissue paper free motion flower pattern for centers and tissue paper border pattern for the borders. This one is actually my favorite of all the ones I have done.

I like the quilting detail. It looks really pretty on the back of the quilt, too.

Hi Rose, What a precious little baby quilt. Love the bright colors and the quilting details really set off the pattern. Thank you for sharing the pics and the inspirational use of scraps.
I recently found a whole tub full of flannel scraps left over from baby quilts. When I get time, I hope to make some little Binky squares for the Binky Brigade. I did take a lot of it that wasn't the required 15" sq and gave it to a lady that works with my DH. She has 7 grandchildren and hoped to make them all a quilt. She only works parttime and can't afford much fabric. She was doing it by hand but just purchased a sewing machine. She wants me to help her learn how to use it so should be interesting since it is all computerized too.
I love baby quilts and yours is a cute example of how simple things like scraps can turn out so beautiful. God bless and many hugs across the miles. Shirley Mae
