It is from Judy Martin's book: The Creative Pattern Book.
It's not as hard as it looks at all. It is two blocks basically, Star in a star (thank you for having this as a lotto block last year, I already knew how to make it!) and the snail trail block. The little stars on the sides are the inside of the star in a star. Cut the setting triangles and sew together. It took me about three weeks and the way you sew you could have in done in no time! I encourage you to try it.

P.S. I didn't use Judy's way of making these blocks. I used the no waste way to make the flying geese inside the stars and I paper pieced the snails up to 6 1/2 inches then added that last two rows. Judy has you cut each little piece out and that would take me a month of Sundays at least. I did use her setting and the pattern has how many of each block you need to make.
