Well these sure are beautiful. It would be a little bit thick to handquilt through, but you could do it. See, you forgot them for a reason....you have now learned to machine quilt. This will be a stunner of a quilt!

Has your Son had any lingering affects from that illness? Reason I ask, it took our DD almost a year for all of her labs to return to normal & to get all of her energy back. She was in the hosp for close to 2 weeks.

My son had surgery back when the infection set in. It got in his neck bones and they had to scrape them and put in some plates. He feels ok now, but he has a lot of problems with his neck getting stiff and its hard for him in his job. He remodels houses and he sometimes has to sub contract the dry wallers bcause he cant do it any more.

Caroline, Those are so pretty. Lots of hard work. Aren't you glad God gave you time to do all that. Now all you have to do is finish them. I am sure it helped to pass the time while your son was in the hospital. Glad he is doing ok now. Can't wait to see the finished quilts.
