crzyquilter81, when I finish a quilt and give it away, I always tell the recipient that it has been "pretested for comfortability". I have a 5 year old boxer who insists on testing each and every quilt that I make, sometimes more than once during the construction process. This is the main reason I don't pre-wash my fabrics. I wash the quilt when it is finished to get the dog hair off of it.
