I love the blocks. This is so special to do for your grandma - she is going to love it especially because you two made it. Actually, your post made me cry. My mom's been dead for almost 40 yrs. but she is the one that taught me to sew when I was young and I feel that if she had lived longer that we would have been making quilts together, too. I miss her so much. this time you are spending together is so precious.

Dear Cindy,

Your post made me cry...I'm so sorry about your mom. My DM's mom passed away in 1962 just months before I was born. My DM was just a teenager. She was married, but still so young to lose her mother. The quilt we are making is for my Dad's mom. She has been MOM to my DM since she was sixteen. She is about as sweet as they come.

not only is this a wonderful quilt the love behind it is even more special. You are blessed to be able to do this with your mom for your Grandmother. please keep posting updates and i can't wait to see the quilt wrapped around your Grandma!
