Hi Marymargaret,
Thanks so much for your encouraging words! I don't think you can go wrong using baby colors for your upcoming grandchild's quilt. There's so many baby fabs out there right now. A bit similar to the "Apron Strings" that I used is another 30's Repro, also by Chloe's Closet for Moda called "Hopscotch".
Our local quilt shop has asked me to make another D9P to display there out of the "Hopscotch" charms, solids and a WOW. It's going to be adorable! I think I have it sold already too, after it is on display for a few months.

Very cute! The sashing really adds to briging the blocks together to an overall pattern.
