Grammiequilts, now that I've had a chance to look at your pictures in detail, I want to say that your sewing room is great! I love all of your little compartments to put things in. Your room looks pretty big too. And the quilt you're working on is so cute! Thanks for sharing.

OMG thanks so much for bringing the pictures over , I have enjoyed this thread so much you all are so helpful I still need to do some rearrainging to make it more convenient the quilt is Susan Branch from the fons and porter mag

Judi, I love your sewing room. I love your sewing machine cabinet draws stacked on their sides . I have two that still fuction as draws and the top is padded for a pin cushion. I keep the feet and tools for my Brother machines in them. I have a 10 drawer chest for all my thered.
I know you are happy in your space.

Painting sewing room. What is the ideal color for a sewing room? I am leaning toward a light steel blue on one wall and the remaining three walls white. What do you think?

I just got my own sewing room it is beautiful I don't have a didital camera but I can tell you about it it is light purple and it's above my garage and air conditioned and heated I have two big tall wooden cabnets one holds my fabric the other holds all my notions my sewing table is in front of the window that looks out over the front of my house I have a small book rack that holds my books and I have a cutting table and a ironing board and on the other side I have all of my christmas stuff and thanksgiving and holloween and Easter stuff still in boxes from packing them from the move I love my new home and my sewing room I pray that everyone gets there own sewing room and my husband has a two car garage for his woodworking hobby well that is my sewing room Tina

Lori you have a great sewing area and just love the quilt in the bottom photo and lee your new space looks fine and love the scrappy quilt too!

I like the compartments for supplies and the space you have. Your threads are arranged well and love your colors. Nice room.
