Perhaps your DGD would give me some lessons?? LOL
She's great! Imagine what she'll be able to do at age 15, or 20 or 25.....
She could be the next household-name quilter!

Gramajojo I think you have blessed this world with another quilter! Your DGD did a Super job!!!!!!!!!!! I just love this quilt. It would have sent me over the moon if my ten yr old had made me a quilt. Like was said, just imagine what your DGD's capabilities will be by the time she is 13 or 15!!!!!!! WOW! Yep, another quilter has been born. Tell her I am just drop dead impressed with her work. Thank You for sharing with us.

zfatcat, no they don't live in a castle. The bricks behind them in the picture is the fireplace in my living room. We just built a house and the living room has a 14 foot ceiling and DH decided he wanted a floor to ceiling fire place. When I first saw the opening, I thought it was going to be an old fashioned "fire place". I had even thought about looking for the pot hook so I could swing the pot in an out over the fire and boil water (my mother always said I was born 100 years too late). Then, I find out he is installing a wood burner in the middle of the opening. Oh well, so much for a swinging pot.

She did a great job on her quilt. I would not put a wood burner in a bigggggggggg firplace like that.

Gramajojo that's a bummer about the fire place. A swinging pot over the fire sounds fun. Lori
