Oasis....these are just breathtaking! How lovely!

I wouldn't go to too light a color for the background...you want those "cathedral windows" to stand out and show off your beautiful work. Play around a lot before you decide; your eyes will lead you to the right color.

Oasis, your hexagons are stunning! I know you say the florals would be easier but, man, I love how yours turned out using the fabric that you used. I just love them. I can't quit looking at them.

Wow!!!! These are just gorgeous! You did a great job Linda. I still don't get it.....How did you match up your prints so perfectly? I cannot see any seams at all! This amazes me.

Linda, those are absolutely gorgeous. I can't see any seams in there at all. Did you find your background yet?

Oh my!!! Those are beautiful--- and your piecing is absolutely perfect!!! I had to look several times to realize that they were actually pieced and not just a printed fabric!!! That will be one stunning quilt--- you need to enter it in a competition. I'll bet it would win! :-)

Oasis, this is really beautiful! I hope you have found a matching fabric in the shops! I am going to try these hexagon stacks in the future, too. How did you calculate the size of the missing parts to get a square block?
