TC, it sounds like it's put together the same way as a table runner pattern from QuiltBus...you just add strips around the center shape and trim them as you go...

May have to get out some scraps and play with this one!

Very Interesting ! ! ! I think I would like to make one similar. Where can I get the pattern or can you send me the instructions via internet. The Center looks to be the most difficult. I really like the desidn and the fabric you used. Thanks for showng your quilt.
