Amie, I love the quilt and I agree chenille is a besser block to sew we did 19 quilts for people in Tassie whenthey lost everything in a big fire that swept through thier town just before Xmas last year and I was the one that had to quilt the chenille one it took me ages to do and much cussing later had it finished and vowed never to do chenilling again!! by the way what is "floating"?Kathy

Hello! I quilted the center but not the chenille borders. I tied the chenille blocks with a beautiful pearl cotton and a curved needle. Binding gave me fit, even with a walking foot, long stitch length. But, the result is jusr fablulous, I love the shabby chicness about it.
I float my top/batt. I quilt on a frame, so I just float, it's much faster for me. Amie
