You did this without a book/directions???????? You definitely were a brave girl. It turned out just gorgeous. I love the braid pattern, I've made it so many times that I had to force myself to "move on". LOL

Which did you like best, putting the center square or just doing all braids? I like putting the theme fabric I think.

Beautiful..and the Deer looks like it is looking at it too. It looks so inviting on a snowy day like it is here.

My hubby was just asking if anyone had noticed his deer! I did the four outside strips first and made one big boo-boo with them before I corrected myself - I was cutting the braids to be 8" wide and was lining up the top and bottom of the braid in the center, but I noticed after I cut the sides, the middle of the braid went wonky and did not stay center, so on the last three I made sure to line up the center through my see-through ruler (I guess that's why it is see-through!)before I cut the sides.
