I love the pink & brown together. It looks so warm & toasty! The shiny binding is a neat idea & fun finish!

This is just gorgeous! What a lucky little girl!
I just priced minkee on line in Aus, and it is $44-00 per metre (39"). May I ask what you pay for it in the US?

Spudgrandma - Minkee is this incredibly soft, plush fabric that is even softer than fleece. It's really luxurious feeling. I rarely buy it but my friend paid for the fabric so away I went, LOL!
Kadie, it runs about $12.99 on sale to about $16.99 per yard depending on where you find it.
This website can give an idea of all the colors and patterns out there.

That looks soft and cuddly!
When I made my son's quilt for his 17th birthday, I used brown minkee on the back and I still catch him "petting" his quilt! LOL
I already know you won't be getting this one back!

Thats so pretty! How is minky to work with? I have some to make a baby quilt. It seems stretchy, but it's sooooo soft.

I forgot to mention that the minkee I used is about 55" wide so you get a lot in a yard.
It's a little stretchy and slippery to work with but I've found that with extra pins and the walking foot, it does much better. It also helps a little if the minkee is on the bottom when feeding it through. The feed dogs seems to help grip it as well.
