I love the block...what is the name of it? It looks like an old traditional one. I love the scrappy look...you did a great job!!

What kind of batting did you use? Your quilting looks puffy like you did trapunto or something. Beautiful!

No, it's not paper pieced. The official name of it is "Scrappy Star Quilt" by Morning Star Designs, Wendy Gilbert designed it. The gal who quilted it stitched the middle square of each block & stitched in-the-ditch around the outside of each block & border. It really made the design "pop." It was the first time I ever used triangles & the way the pattern is written, they actually weren't too bad.

That is a beautiful quilt! I love the way you put your color and textures together. Scrappy quilts are not easy to lay out, you did an excellent job!!!
