Kadie, I'll bet you're cute as a button, mother's are just afraid that their children can't measure up to you so the sign of the cross is just a blessing on their poor children.

I guess I'll have to get a boa if I ever expect to be a serious quilter! Seems all the best people have them! LOL :)

I'm in a rare mood - had a great night's sleep, and slept late, and I REFUSE to go into work today! So there!!!

Bev, I love those pictures.... I am determined to visit ya'll one of these days!!!!

Ladies I was being very truthful.
I'm as wide as the south end of a north bound bus! Have longish frizzy, curly grey/ginger hair down past my shoulders which I hate and very pale skin. I have worn specks since I was 9 years old. I am in no way,shape or form pretty and never have been but my Hubby loves me anyway. I think I embarrass the kids sometimes 'cause I wear 3 earrings in each ear and none of them match, I live in jeans....can't remember the last time I wore a dress or skirt. Have never worn shorts except to swim in and dress for comfort not for fashion. At the moment I'm wearing trackie dacks and an old footie jumper and 1 ugg boot (I have been sewing)
Soooo. There you are. That is me...
Anyway.... aren't these photos wonderful. I love the one of you Bev in Els office with the feather boa. You look exhausted after all your excitement. Why were you wearing aprons in the photo with El? and did you actually get to sew with her and Linda?

This was so much fun for me getting to meet Bev (Nadine) and Bernie (alwaysBernie). We had a great time. The photo of the 3 of us was taken in the sewing room at QIAD. This room has 2 sewing stations set up and patterns are tested here. Eleanor and Teresa do a lot of sewing in this room. The banner "Cheers" was made by Sue Bouchard, Eleanor's Executive Assistant, for one of our booths at Quilt Market in Houston several years ago. The plaque you see to the left of Bernie's head was the "Woman of Merit" award that Eleanor won a couple of years ago for our local newspaper.

It is my wish that someday each and every one of you will come to QIAD for a tour.

Hi everyone the picture of me and El is at camp. Last year at camp El showed alot of her aprons to us she was promoting the Egg Money Quilts book and it made me think about the funny aprons I had at home they have been in our family for years. I decided to give them to El for her collection. They are rather SEXY the female one has a stuffed top big boobs and the male one, the one El has on has a zipper in the front with a little cork thing on a string for the male body parts. They are really cute. She is so much fun I knew she would like them. We gave them to her at the end of camp. These pictures were taken this past May. The quilt we are holding is for all of you it was made at QIAD we did not make it. But I do have everything here to make one.
Linda is so wonderful everyone on here should go to QIAD someday and go on the tour it is wonderful. You can do what we did. Linda made it so special. You should see their cutting room. I probably will never see another cutting table that big again Thanks for all of your comments.

Nadine you and Bernie look like you are having a ball. And camp looks like fun, too. I am now as green as my eyeballs!!! I just can't wait to take El's class in Houston in November.
Kadie - we love you we don't care what you look like. You are such a corker and I find myself laughing at your posts all the time. If I posted my picture, you can surely post yours!
