Re: Work in progress on my room!!!!!!!
LOVE the purple carpet!! Bet it shows every little thread tho!!
Looks like we have the same taste in paint, when I re arranged my sewing room I painted the walls just about the same color!
I did put my sewing machine in front of the window... and it's fine in the morning and early afternoon, but my window faces directly west so by late afternoon the sun comes right into my eyes and I have to close the blinds! Which really sucks because then I see how dirty they are!
A project for another day I think!
Love seeing pictures of everybody's sewing space tho!

Re: Work in progress on my room!!!!!!!
Your room is nice. I have been adding to my sewing room along...DH made me an L-shaped style sewing table with drawers and shelves. I have 2 machines and a serger. Next, He bought me 2 tall cabinets with doors on them /shelves inside. Great Storage space! Then, I ordered the Roberts Cutting table with cutting mat....it folds down and can be wheeled away ...it has drawers as well. It is a nice large table and saves my back when cutting out quilts! HOme Depot has the cabinets and the sewing style table ...it needs assembled. All is White .....I love these items and my sewing room. Hope this will help you out too.

Re: Work in progress on my room!!!!!!!
Cutting table: Several years ago I bought a 4 x 8 piece of melamine covered plywood, had the local building supply store (where I bought it) cut it as per my diagram..which was one piece 3'''' x 6'''', then had 12" wide shelves cut out of the rest. A friend put some 1/4 round edging all around for me; then I had hubby attach the ''''folding legs'''' to the bottom (first putting a 1" thick square of wood where the legs would attach to reinforce). To put it at the right height, I had him cut 4 - 4" x 4" x 8" long blocks out of a 4 x 4 post; using a drill, he drilled holes in the top of each post and the ''''four legs/or feet'''' of the table fit into these. Just determine what height you want your cutting table and work it out from there. Could be used on any table, in fact, got the idea from a guild member who brought some in for our cutting table at our sewing centre. No more sore backs!
