I googled "Mexican Star" but didn't find one that looked like yours with the curved effect. Could you tell us where you got the pattern?

Very beautiful! If you could share the source of the pattern and instructions, I would appreciate it--always looking for new designs, and I have a piece of southwestern-themed fabric that is calling to be turned into a quilt. The Mexican Star may work nicely with it.

This is really pretty. I just ordered and received the book on these "peeled back" quilt method. However it didn't have this pattern or the others at the website you posted. I like the little bugs also.
